Anfield, the new Everton stadium and derby weekends
Liverpool FC at Anfield and Everton at their new waterfront stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock mean a home match in the city almost every weekend of the season. Supporters travelling in from across the UK and overseas search "pub near Anfield" and "pub near Everton stadium" from hotel rooms the night before. Pubs on the routes from Lime Street, Sandhills and the city centre to both grounds can win that trade with a listing that says which fans are welcome and what time the doors open.
The move of Everton to the docks has redrawn the pre-match map. Pubs in Vauxhall, around Stanley Dock and along Great Howard Street are now on a walking route that did not exist before, and most have not updated their Google listings to reflect it.
